Chi Yan Vice President, Marketing

Chi Yan serves as our Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Yan is responsible for Air Lease Corporation’s sales and marketing efforts in Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore as well as parts of Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, and various other Asian countries. Prior to joining Air Lease Corporation, Mr. Yan served as ILFC’s Vice President of Marketing for six years. Previous to his experience at ILFC, Mr. Yan served at Boeing as their Vice President of the China market for Boeing’s commercial aircraft sales for over eleven years. Mr. Yan attended Tianjin University in China and received a B.S. in Instrumentation Engineering. He was an exchange student through the US-China exchange program and was sent to the University of Utah for his graduate studies. He received his M.S. in Physics and his Ph.D. in Optical Science from Center for High Technology Materials at the University of New Mexico. After his graduate studies, Mr. Yan was assigned to numerous defense and space research projects during his services in the Advanced Programs at Rocketdyne and the US Air Force Weapons Laboratories, where he served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Chief Scientist.
